FAQ's
Do I need a dance partner to take a private dance lesson?
No. Rene can follow, and Jennifer can lead West Coast Swing. Whether you are a follower or a leader in this dance, we can work with you.
Will you choreograph our wedding dance?
No. We don’t teach choreography. While West Coast Swing can be choreographed just like any other dance, it is not our aim to teach in that manner. However, what we teach you, you can use on the wedding dance floor and have fun!
How can I pay for my private dance lesson?
For payment of a private lesson, we take mainly cash and check. However, we can also accept Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle. We accept payment at the end (or beginning) of the private lesson.
I can’t make it to my private dance lesson, can I cancel?
If you must cancel, please try to give us as much notice ahead of time as you can. We understand things come up, and you might even forget you scheduled a private lesson. But it is courteous, and much appreciated to give as much a heads up as possible.
How did Rene and Jennifer learn to dance West Coast Swing?
By taking private dance lessons and social dancing. Jennifer and Rene have both been dancing West Coast Swing for over ten years. They have also both competed in West Coast Swing dance competitions since 2009. During that time, they have both taken private lessons from the top Champion and All-Star dancers on the West Coast Swing dance circuit. You can learn more about this by visiting the World Swing Dance Council website.
