Have you seen West Coast Swing Dance performed by the top Champions? It’s a vision to behold, and when you see the top performers doing the West Coast Swing Dance, it’s a total thrill! A lot of us call the dance “West Coast Swing”, but the truth is that the official name is “West Coast Swing Dance”. After all, we’re dancing, right?
What’s so cool about the West Coast Swing Dance is that it is a social dance that is based on fundamental basic moves that you can improvise. Similar to Jazz music with a structure, both dancers in the partnership can add embellishments and flourishes to the dance as they see fit. The rest of us...well...we’re practicing our West Coast Swing Dance techniques and patterns to get there. But even when you’re beginning to learn to West Coast Swing Dance, it’s so much fun to move your body to the music, dancing in sync with your partner, having fun. That is what’s so addictive about the West Coast Swing Dance. You can’t get enough!
